Michael A.'s Story
After graduation, I immediately went into the Marine Corps and served in Viet Nam '68-'69 and then served in El Torro, CA, Hawaii, and San Diego, CA. After six years in the Marine Corp, I came home to Lawton and married Robbie Shelby from Walters and we've been married 37 years and have two Marine sons. I graduated from Cameron Univ. in '76 with an Associates degree in Law Enforcement.

ved there in '76-'87 until I went into the Army for two years and got transfered to El Paso, Texas. I got out in 1989. We then moved to Las Cruces, NM where I received a degree in computer aided drafting and have lived there since 1990. I commuted to and from work at the Grand Canyon 600 miles every 2 weeks for 5 1/2 years.
Living in Las Cruces is hot in the summer but you don't really need a coat for the winter.
